The Takarazuka Revue is an all female revue performing both modern and traditional Japanese musicals, plays, song and dance numbers. They are based primarily in the city of Takarazuka in the Hyogo region, and have a second main theatre in Tokyo. The main attraction of the Revue are the otokoyakus, or the male role players, whom many of them are certainly pretty handsome .

I've been a fan of the Revue for quite some time now, and stumbled upon this forum recently. Are there any other 'Zuka fans out there?

Me! I signed up like ten minutes ago while looking for travel info, too... ^_^; My friend and I are planning on traveling to Tokyo in September, and hopefully seeing Tani's Tokyo debut.

I have been a fan since one of my classmates in college did a report on Takarazuka. It's really a pretty radical program they put those girls through. Very interesting. I would recommend reading about it on Wikipedia or something.

I did a report on Takarazuka last April for my Japanese Pop Culture class, and I enjoyed researching and reporting about it, too. :D
