I have noticed that Japanese bloggers use a lot smiley faces with regular characters like (>_<) or (_ _); ('-')


I know these are not particular to them but i have seen more widely use in Japanese references like in Killer 7 (a game for ps2 and game cube) and even in in Japanese TV and anime.

I think they are very common among Japanese.
