Here is a review I found for a wine bar my friend said was good!

Guernica - (wine bar with excellent food!)

Guernica offers reasonable prices (with wine from 1,800 yen a bottle) and a range of excellent food. With very low light levels and a vaguely Spanish/surrealist interior the bar has a good atmosphere even when empty. The menu is fairly wide, with food thoughtfully presented. There is also a set of "dishes of the day" on a blackboard. The cook/barman/master certainly earns his keep, but expect to wait a little for your food if the bar is crowded.

This is a place for a couple or small group, but it is also a nice place to take a girl/boy if you want to chat... Basic Japanese language skills are advisable.

How to get there:
Come out of Takamiya station and walk up Takamiya dori towards Tenjin. Guernica is on the left, about 200 metres up just before a hairdresser's called 'Lag bag".
