Simple answer is chip your Japanese console or import a US or European machine. Long answer is to look on the internet for softmod work arounds and the like. Apparently the PS3 isn't region coded anyway and the XBOX 360 can be softmodded to run international software. But if you do softmod a 360 just don't take it on LIVE. You get shot down in a firery piratey storm!
