Define meet people. :icon_mrgreen:

Well I've been to one lock-&-Key party at the Pink Cow in Shibuya which purports to enhance international "relations" ... some how the girls wind up paying double what the guy pays. I know of two more parties of a different nature in and around that area.

Depends on what you're looking for.

Meeting people until now is not a crime or is it in Japan ?
You know what i mean.
anyway i read every weeks on metropolis or other small papers about international party that in general cost 3000 yen all you can eat and drink, and you have the chance to "meet" many japanese and gaijin.
for example next saturday there is one in shibuya at ruby room, have you ever been there ?

Nope nothing wrong with meeting people at all.

But you do meet people for a lot of different reasons. :icon_mrgreen:

I attend my board games & RPG meetings religiously. We shout we scream we throw d20s at each other.
You could go to Yellow sub and play tabletop RPG with Japanese cosplay-dressed. That's slightly crazier.

Some of my american colleagues go to Lock&Key to get hunted down by Japanese ladies. I attended twice and it was pretty good. Ratio of girls to guys is like 2:1, but you have to get really lucky to find one without an unhealthy agenda.

There's ANOTHER one which my Japanese colleagues go to. But they're still single ...go figure.

The seedier ones are places for errr ....paid services .... I know OF them but will not admit under any known torture to know ABOUT them

I have never been to any of those International Parties. I was more of a pub guy in Tokyo. I would pop into the Dubliners, or the Hub. But it's kinda hard too meet people unless it's busy. In Japan everyone sits at their respective tables and stays there until they leave or goto he washroom. You have to be quick and catch them while they goto the bar and grab a drink...better hurry you got 60 and counting
